Dr. Heather Taylor, PsyD, Psychologist
Providing Grief Therapy since 2012
I change the way clinicians talk about grief with their clients.
I’m Dr. Heather Taylor, a PsyPact licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience specializing in grief therapy, trauma, and life transitions. I know firsthand how challenging it can be for clinicians to navigate grief in the therapy space. Most clinical programs barely touch on grief beyond a brief mention of outdated stage models, leaving you feeling uncertain or underprepared when grief shows up in your sessions. That’s where I come in.
As a grief expert, my mission is to help mental health professionals build confidence in supporting clients through all kinds of grief—death, non-death losses, identity shifts, and everything in between. Grief is complex, deeply personal, and rarely follows a predictable path. I offer modern grief education that goes beyond the basics, equipping you with practical tools, compassionate language, and frameworks that make sense in real-world practice.
Through workshops, consultations, and resources designed specifically for clinicians, I help you feel prepared, not panicked, when clients bring grief into the room. Whether it’s helping clients navigate ambiguous loss, disenfranchised grief, or those unspoken “small” losses that hit harder than expected, my goal is to demystify grief, normalize the messiness, and empower you to hold space with confidence.
Let’s break the silence around grief and start creating a therapy space where clients feel truly seen, supported, and safe to grieve. Together, we can build a more grief-literate world—one therapist, one conversation at a time.

Grief is everywhere—it shows up in countless ways, whether it’s death, a life transition, or an identity shift. And as clinicians, you’re often expected to hold space for grief without ever being given formal training on how.
That’s exactly why I created this member’s area: to give you the tools, knowledge, and support you need to feel more confident when grief walks into the therapy room.
